Rondo en duo

In this score, it's the performers who must navigate their way. The title of this piece comes from this unique musical setup. Starting from the far left of the score, the performer sings what constitutes the refrain of our rondo, titled "je vous avais raconté ?" (Did I tell you?). Then, the singer is faced with a choice: they can continue by singing either the upper part or the lower part of the score. This choice must be made four times before reaching a repeat bar, causing chance encounters between the two voices. Two characters try to tell a story without listening to each other. After the repeat bar, the performers return to the beginning of the score and sing the refrain. Three repeats must be performed.
